Quick Tooth Restoration Option
Independence Family Dentistry is proud to offer our patients permanent, one-visit crowns – made possible by our CEREC CAD/CAM technology. CEREC, which stands for CEramic REConstruction, is state-of-the-art technology that allows us to design and fabricate your beautiful new crown in about an hour.
We place crowns to protect your tooth structure, especially if it’s been weakened by disease, decay or damage. Crowns are also an excellent aesthetic choice for patients who want to cover darkened teeth, teeth with large cavities, or to protect a tooth after root canal therapy.
Our CEREC CAD/CAM Technology allows us to take care of your restoration needs without requiring multiple visits or sending your molds to an outside dental lab. There is no need to worry about wearing a temporary crown or fitting follow-up appointments into your busy schedule.
CEREC One-Visit Crown Process
After getting you comfortably settled into one of our top-of-the-line treatment rooms, we’ll take a 3D image of your tooth. This will act as a digital “mold” from which the new crown will be formed.
It takes about one hour through the use of CAD/CAM technology to complete your one-visit crown. Once the crown is finished, Dr. Danny Nakhla will place the crown and complete the restoration process. You’ll leave our office with a permanent, functional, natural-looking crown in just a single visit.
Our CEREC one-visit crowns are durable and stain resistant, with a natural appearance. You even care for your CEREC crowns the same way you do your real teeth – with brushing, flossing and rinsing with fluoridated products.
If you would like to know more about how your smile could benefit from a CEREC one-hour crown, we invite you to request an appointment now.
